persistent bugs

Here is a list of bugs I am aware of and plan on fixing as soon as I can get the time to sit down and figure out how to do it. Help is always appreciated - if you can help with any of these, please drop me a line!

  1. Indestructible trees - newly-defined trees (fir trees and Mallorns) do not burn. This is hardcoded and it'll take me a bit of time to figure out how to remedy it through lua.
  2. Mallorns and treewalking - Mallorns are not considered trees if a character has tree-walking.
  3. Summoned neutral uniques go hostile - if you summon a neutral unique as a pet, it turns hostile - really should not do that. Should not be able to summon neutral uniques at all. I have no idea how to fix this.
  4. Neutral monster quests - some random quests (princess, FumbleFingers) require a player to kill monsters that are neutral.
  5. Indestructible towns - newly-defined towns do not get destroyed if the player is wearing the One Ring, despite having t_d_*.txt files defined and placeholders for TOWN_DESTROY in the edit files. This will need to be fixed through lua. Somehow. Heh.
